Margaret Denise Quigley was born on 22th May 1979 in  in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.Her father is a  Irish descent, and mother is a Vietnamese .After graduating from Mililani High School, she traveled toTokyo, Japan; and Taipei, Taiwan to become a fashion model.Maggie is the youngest of five children. She has two sisters and two half-siblings from her mother's previous marriage in Vietnam.she had originally intended to work a couple of months in East Asia to help pay for her studies but ended up staying years.
 Moggie Q arrived in Hong Kong where she was selected by Jackie Chan, who saw in her a potential action star despite her lack of experience.He gave her intensive training and a strong code of professionalism.The Hong Kong newspaper, Apple Daily, dubbed her Maggie Q and she decided to keep the name for easier pronunciation by Chinese audiences.

 Moggie Q has starred alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III. She played Zhen, the only female member of the IMF team. In 2007, she appeared in the Bruce Willis movie Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth film in the Die Hard series, and in Balls of Fury.she has won Asian Excellence Award for Supporting Film Actress.Q played fictional Cao Ying, a granddaughter of the warlord Cao Cao in Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon, in her first ancient Chinese costume performance in 2008.
 Moggie Q has a tattoo of a phoenix on her hip, which she has to conceal for most of her roles except Nikita.She used to enjoy her role as fun and coolness.

Maggie Q, who is vegan, is a strong supporter of PETA Asia-Pacific. She featured in two advertisements for the organization in 2007. In addition, Maggie was responsible for the removal of real fur from the costumes/set of the Chinese film Three Kingdoms. In 2007, PETA Asia-Pacific named Maggie Q its 'Person of the Year'. In 2008, the organization named Maggie Q one of the best-dressed celebrities of the year.
