Fazira Wan Chek who is well known as Erra Fazira was born on 9th February 1974 in Sungai Choh, Rawang, Selangor,Malaysia.Her parents are Chinese origin Muslim(it is doubted that her parents are converted Muslim).She has completed her schooling from home town . there after she has taken bachelor degree from Selangor University.She has been very found in singing and acting since a young age. In school, she joined societies and clubs such as Pramuka, St. John Ambulans, English Language Society and Culture Club.Her height 5'4'' , weight 54 kg and vital 34 X 27 X 37.

Erra Fazira won the title of Miss Malaysia 1992 and represented Malaysia in Miss World 1992 in Botswana.She was also the 3rd runner up for Miss South East Asia for the 1992/1993 session.

Yusry announced the talaq(divorce) on April 26 the same year.Erra met her current husband, Chief Operation Officer of Suria FM, Engku Emran, during the Suria FM Road Tour in April 2007. At the time, Erra was in a relationship with Hans Isaac. After a high-profile breakup, Isaac and Erra went their separate ways.Erra and Emran got engaged on September 7, 2007, and wedded on October 25 at Restoran Puteri, Sungai Pencala Kuala Lumpur. On March 27, 2009, they became the parents of a daughter, Engku Aleesya.
