Madhu Sapre was born on 14 th July 1971 in Mumbai , Maharashtra,India.Her parents are native Mrathi  from the Andheri suburb of Mumbai. She is Ranked #5 in the List of Indian super models The magazine "XXGIRLS & MODELING "
 Madhu Sapre represented India at the 1992 Miss Universe pageant, where she finished third (2nd runner up).
Madhu Sapre was known for her long time boyfriend Milind Soman and a shoes advertisement with him - Tuff Shoes. She is also remembered for her answer at Mis Universe 1992. Question was what she would do if she was the prime minister of her country. Madhu gave an answer that she would build a sports complex. That costs her dearly. Though she got 9.9 in swim suit round and favorite to win the crown, she was second runner-up in the contest.

Nobody told us we had to be politically correct. I said what my heart told me and I lost. According to me India has been in poverty for many years, so it was not going to suddenly change in one year by my becoming the prime minister. But there are other areas like art and sports in which we can improve. And being a sportsgirl I had suffered because we don't have the equipment and the grounds in India.
