Zeba Bakhtiar was born on 5th November 1971 in Quetta ,Baluchistan Province, Pakistan.Her parents are Yahya Bakhtiar, a prominent bureaucrat from Quetta, former Attorney General of Pakistan and Sylvia Vallencanto, a Hungarian Caucasian woman.She has got her initial education from a convent school in Quetta, and then attended Kinnaird Collegein Lahore, getting her bachelor's degree in law, but not completing her graduate degree.She has three siblings,two brothers are both doctors by profession living in the U.S, and a sister who is a corporate lawyer in Pakistan.The pretty and innocent face Zeba Bakhtiar's height 5' 6'' ,weight 61 kg (now) and vital 37 X 27 X 38 (now).

Zeba Bakhtiar was brought up in a very conservative environment, she never thought of becoming an actress and stated that it was by chance she became an actress.first made her television debut with a Karachi television play, Anarkali.The sad love story, won her critical acclaim in Pakistan's entertainment world.
Zeba Bakhtiar's first Indian movie was Henna with Rishi Kapoor which was a huge box office hit.Her work in Henna was widely appreciated by the critics and the director Randhir Kapoor.

Her portrayal of a handicapped girl in Pehli See Mohabbat was just mind-boggling; likewise her performances in Lollywood films Kundi and Sangam.

Later she has been married to popular singer Adnan Sami and they have a son named as Azaan.But their married life had lasted only 6 years and they are separated in 1997.She has battled ten years for the custody of her son with her ex husband Adan Sami.Lastly she won and now she is living in Karachi with her son.
