New Era For The Asian Models In Western World As More & More Models Established Themselves In Entertainment Industry
Asian Modeling Industry was in very limited sector before the globalization that means before the the end of cold war.If you give a look on fashion magazines from the before 90s , then you almost certain that you won’t find many Asian faces in editorials or ads. Asians and Asian Americans and out side of America alike have been underrepresented for a long time. Marc Jacobs featured 8 Asian models out of 58 in the Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 runway show.These is a inspiring good news for Asian models in western industry.
It can say that Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean models are redefining traditional concepts of beauty (according to the Vogue editorial), It will be considered that we Asian are redefining traditional beauty, then we also saying it that Asians weren’t traditionally beautiful to start. This notion can give trouble to any Asian either model or fashion lovers. As it is considering that 60% of the world population is Asian. The editorial brings up East Asian beauty, but what about South East Asians Or South Asians Or Pacific Islanders As India is the another paradise of the models and modeling !! But a recent survey shows that Asian Models are the highest paying in any ads campaigns or runway campaigns.
