Lekha Washington was born on 15th February 1984 in Chennai(Madras), Tamilnadu ,India.Her Father is an Italian and mother Burmese origin (Marathi)Indian.She had started schooling in her home town Chennai and later higher classes in Mumbai.He is an NIDian (National Institute of Design,Ahmedabad ) graduate.Her height 5' 7'' , weight 53 kg and vital 35 X 26 X 36.

Lekha Washington has started off as a sculptor, studied lifestyle product design and art history. She made short films in places like Burma and Mauritius, but couldn’t survive too long not being in front of a camera.
Lekha Washington Involved in performing arts for many years, Lekha directed her theatre skills to television. She talked her way through Travel, call-in shows, The IPL and international cricket on Sony, ESPN, SS music and a host of international channels.She subsequently went on to host the Canadian 20/20 on international television.
Lekha Washington has finally got her opportunity to act on the big screen in her first Tamil film Jeyam Kondaan. It earned her accolades for her performance, and was a commercial hit as well, running for more than a 100 days at the cinema.
Lekha Washington has also acted as Lasya in Vedam, a multi-starrer and the Telugu director Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi's second directorial, which released on 4 June 2010. She had two diwali releases, Va quarter cutting in tamil opposite Shiva where she plays a nineteen year old school girl and Huduga Hudugi in Kannada directed by Indirajit Lankesh where she plays Sneha. She has been chosen to play the leading lady in Rajkumar Santoshi's next project,Power where she is cast opposite Ajay Devgn. Other lead stars in this project are Amitabh Bachan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut.
Lekha Washington broke into Bollywood, acting opposite Rajiv Khandelwal in UTV Spotboy’s Peter Gaya Kaam Se, a racy thriller set in Goa in 2009. It is scheduled for release in March 2010.
Lekha Washington's Filmography is also high ranked such as Kadhalar Dhinam,Framed,Unnale Unnale,Jayamkondaan,Vedam,Va Quarter Cutting,Huduga Hudugi,Peter Gaya Kaam Se,Power, etc. Except acting and directing she has also appeared in various magazines cover pages as such Filmfare,cinebitz,Bazzar,Filmidunia etc.She is been also  seen in ramp show too.
Lekha Washington is currently shooting her first film in Telugu – Vedam, directed by multiple award winner Krish and starring Allu Arjun, Manoj and Manoj Vajpayee. She is also working on a tamil film currently with Pushkar and Gayatri of Oram Po fame.
